We wanted a knowledgeable and experienced surveyor, who knew about oast conversions and who would give us a detailed and solution-focused assessment of the building. He was responsive, courteous, and engaged throughout, and also answered queries after we'd received the report. He pulled no punches, but he was also pragmatic and positive. We found his style of reporting particularly helpful, as he broke the remedial work down into different timescales depending on how urgent it was. His report will be our 'oast house manual' going forward. We really couldn't recommend James highly enough. If he's free when you need a survey, book him without hesitation!
