Defect Analysis Reports

The Defect Analysis Report is appropriate for owners who have a specific concern or concerns regarding a single or associated series of defects to a property, such as cracking, damp penetration, condensation or structural instability. The report records the condition at the time of inspection and provides the reason for the defect and what solutions are appropriate. Very occasionally it is necessary to undertake further investigation by opening up the structure.

Building pathology and knowledge of building construction are paramount as is the ability to observe a defect and analyse the cause or causes.

Typically the report will be 4-6 pages long and is undertaken for a fixed fee.
